MonkeyBargains is strongly committed to protecting your privacy. The purpose of this document is to inform our users what information we collect and how and why we use information that we collect from people who use the MonkeyBargains site.
We will collect your IP address upon entry into MonkeyBargains. We use your IP address, domain name, and access time to help diagnose problems with our servers, and to administer our website. Your IP address is used to help identify you and to gather demographic information in order to help us better understand our customers and refine our product.
Why We Ask For Personal Information
When visitors to the MonkeyBargains site sign up for an account to start receiving our newsletter, we ask them to tell us a little about themselves. Specifically, we ask for the user's e-mail address via a registration page. We do this so that we can e-mail our newsletter to subscribers; we feel this is a vital part of our service and thus find it necessary to ask for user e-mails. We also may use subscribers' e-mails to contact users and provide updates regarding MonkeyBargains and to send user promotional material and information provided to us by our business partners. Users may, at any time, opt out of receiving future mailings. See opt out section below. Demographic and profile data is also collected at our site. We use this data for internal analysis and to share with other companies the profile of our customers. Only the user's email address is required information to receive the e-mail newsletter. Any additional fields on the registration form are optional and will not affect whether or not you will receive the newsletter.
During the MonkeyBargains registration process, you may have the opportunity to opt-in to offers and specials from some of our third-party partners. In these cases, we will provide our partners with some or all of the information that you provided during registration. The decision whether or not to accept these offers is completely voluntary, and has no affect on your MonkeyBargains service.
Disclosure
MonkeyBargains will not share or sell to third parties any individual information users provide us without the explicit consent of our users. This insures that users won't receive junk mail or third-party unsolicited e-mail as a result of signing up for our service. The only e-mail users will get as a result of signing up for MonkeyBargains' services is from MonkeyBargains. (Although we sometimes send information for advertisers at the end of our own e-mails.) We may, however, share aggregate information with third parties, in order to tell them more about our users. For example, we may tell potential advertisers that 30 percent of our users are between the ages of 18 and 30 (this statistic is an example only, not a real statistic and we occasionally conduct voluntary e-mail surveys of our users to acquire these facts); but we will not give an advertiser a list of e-mail addresses, or tell them personal information about individual users.
Third-Party Affiliates
MonkeyBargains partners with many companies to help support our free services. Users may choose to purchase services from other companies that are publicized through MonkeyBargains. This privacy policy does not apply to information users give to these other companies. Any information users give to another company is governed by the rules of that company's privacy policy that may be different than MonkeyBargains'. MonkeyBargains takes no responsibility for information given to other companies; please review these companies' privacy policies prior to your purchase if you're concerned.
Contests and Surveys
Within the MonkeyBargains site and newsletter, you will have the opportunity to participate in online surveys and contests, which may ask visitors for contact information (like their email address) and demographic information (like their zip code, age, or income level). We use contact data from our surveys and contests to contact visitors and to send the visitor promotional material and information from some of our business associates. Cookies
Your browser offers so-called "cookies" which -- if you allow their use -- store small amounts of data on your computer about your visit to our site. We assign many of our users' cookies in order to assess the effectiveness of our current marketing campaigns and track the usefulness of our product. Cookies, by themselves, cannot be used to find out the identity of any visitor. We will only store information provided voluntarily. A cookie cannot read data off your hard disk. However, cookies tell us nothing about you personally unless you specifically give us additional information. These cookies are not used to personally identify your surfing patterns, and disabling them will not affect the service.
We use an outside ad company, Commission Junction, to display ads on our site. These ads may also contain cookies. While we use cookies in other parts of our website, cookies received with ads are collected by the advertising company, and we do not have access to this information. Some customer data is shared with the advertising companies. Because all areas of MonkeyBargains are free and since a significant portion of our revenue comes from advertising, the use of cookies to help manage our advertising system is crucial to us. Security
All employees of MonkeyBargains are made aware of its privacy practices and changes through company memos and privacy policy postings on a semi-annual basis. Access to private and confidential data is limited to only those employees with a specific need to retrieve this information.
Choice/Opt-Out
Our site provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving future communications from us. This site gives users the option for removing their information from our database to stop receiving future communications and no longer receive our service. To unsubscribe from MonkeyBargains, simply send an email to unsubscribe@MonkeyBargains.com with the word "unsubscribe" in the subject line.
Correct/Update
This site gives users the following options for changing and modifying information previously provided. Send an email to modify@MonkeyBargains.com to modify your user profile.

MonkeyBargains reserves the right to change this privacy policy at any time.
